Lauryn & Brett's laid back farm wedding
Lauryn & Brett were married on a rainy day last fall on her family farm and it was a beautiful, laid back affair! Here are some highlights of their wedding day...They braved the wind & rain all day , starting with a "first look", savouring the quiet together before sharing their wedding day with family & friends...We were surprised that umbrella hung in there!Lauryn's family had cleaned up their barns and had fresh wood chips all laid down, so we snuck in there out of the elements for a few photos. It made for some beautiful, romantic and moody photos! That Skirt!!! On This Bride!!! Stunning!!! It was custom made for her by her aunt Lynn Hopkins, amazing job Lynn, this skirt was so gorgeous!!!And what would you do without someone to stand by your side supporting you through your day, it looks like these two picked the best ones for the job!So time to go exchange vows and rings and kisses...After some group and family photos, it was time to celebrate these two!!!Many of the details were put together and made by this family's loving hands and Lauryn herself! The cake is made of giant cinnamon buns with cream cheese icing, are you kidding me!!! YUM!!! Since it was a rainy day many more friends and family, some of whom are also farmers, were able to come celebrate Lauryn & Brett's wedding, which meant a bursting at the seems reception!!! It was amazing to see so many who love Lauryn and Brett and wanted to be there to share this special occasion with them! These men knew how to cook up a storm in a downpour, I'm sure a little rain never slows them down, and especially not today...This was a pretty great photo booth, looks like a lot of people enjoyed it!If I can sneak a bride and groom away from a ceremony before I leave one last time, I always feel it's a little way for them to get away for a few moments that refreshes them after the business of the day. It allows them to just take another moment to themselves to savour the magnitude of their day, their commitment to each other and reflect on the love their wedding day has showered on them! It also offers another great opportunity for a few more photos that helps them get the most out of our services :)Lauryn & Brett let us sneak them away to do just that! These photos just do something to my heart! I never tire of seeing how completely in love people are with each other!!!I mean, these two...come on!!!!!! *sigh* oh and then dancing in the rain!!!!! So romantic!I was just emotional finished after that, and they were wet, so time to get warm and dry and rejoin the guests...Thank you so very much Lauryn and Brett for allowing us the privilege to experience that with you!!!Many thanks also to all the people who helped make this such a beautiful day despite the rain, this was a very memorable wedding! Some of those people are included but not limited to those listed below:

The bar was made by the bride's step sisters husband (Mitch Payze) for their wedding out of pallets
The door backdrop was from the bride's sisters "catalog home"
Cake was made by the bride's step sisters (Ali Payze and Dani Mattson). Which was also cinnamon buns. Instead of cake (She hates cake).
